Every house will have broadband intternet connections in Telangana by the end of 2018. K.T. Rama Rao, Information Technology minister lined up the officials to speed the work to achieve this target by the end of the year 2018.
At a reviews meeting, he said the Mission Bhageeratha work was to provide drinking water connection to every house in telangana, is to be completed on time. Same this aim to provide Internet connection should be completed on time.
Under the Digital Telangana project, fibre cables are being laid along water pipelines to ensure broadband internet connectivity to every household.
The minister discussed the issue related to funds required for the project, the financial assistance being provided by the central government under Bharat Net and also the money required from the state government.
Vijaya Bank also raised their hands by providing the loan for the Telangana Fibre Grid Corporation.
